“Our tomorrow depends essentially on what we do today, whether winning fame or future, power or position, wealth or goods. Success in life depends on proper planning and execution of plan. Fortunately, the education and experience while attending Woodford has molded me to shape my career and helped me discover the professionalism within me. | am very thankful and proud to have such a motivating, supporting, and enthusiastic Principal and teaching staff that have taught me to carry myself through challenges of life. Time which | had spent at WIS have become the most treasured days of my life.

Currently, | am Miss Solomon Islands, and wouldn't have been if it weren’t for the values and knowledge | have learnt here at Woodford International School. In addition to its strong values, WIS offered an excellent environment for me to pursue our studies. Various platforms and opportunities at WIS allowed me to explore, make mistakes and learn. | have worked with many people with different cultures both internationally and regionally, been appreciated by almost everyone, and a sense of belonging in this mix race of people. | believe that Woodford International School is the only school in the Solomon Islands that truly shapes the career of its students in true manner. WIS is not only a school where you go for a couple of hours with teachers just feeding you only theoretical knowledge of books. WIS teachers not only do their teaching job, but also take care of their students like parents, instilling good values, training them in sports and extracurricular activities, and building their students’ foundation to achieve individual goals.

| miss being at WIS listening to WIS teachers and playing with friends in school. I consider myself blessed, and when God blesses you with something such as being in this School, one should make the most of it. There are students in this country who find it hard asking for help from teachers or simply to have internet/library for research purposes. Many schools don't have teachers who push them to the best of their abilities. My advice to students attending Woodford — set your goals and targets very explicitly and work towards them right from the beginning. This is the time for all of you to understand the importance of education. WIS provides you with opportunities to prove yourself not just with academics and university, but outside also. Take all the advantages and privileges which WIS is providing you, because once these days are gone, they will never come back. Sometimes when I'm sitting alone and recollect my old memories, | feel so happy and relaxed that | enjoyed my WIS days. We always desire for future to come, and once it does, we miss our past.

| must say, WIS is ‘a home away from home’ where you can have fun while learning. | wish to express my thanks to all the staff at WIS who put their sincere efforts to build my career, and special thanks to my friends who have became family during my unforgettable time at Woodford International School.
