TUCKSHOP

At the end of last term, we tendered out the school tuckshop. We are pleased to announce that Café El-Shaddai won the tender and has been operating the tuckshop from the start of Term Three.

The objective of the tuckshop is to provide a range of fresh and healthy food choices for breakfast, morning tea, munch and sip and lunch. The tuckshop is available for use by students, staff and parents and operates every Monday to Friday from 7:00 am 4:00 pm.

To cater for our community’s needs, the tuckshop will be offering breakfast from 7:00 am 8:15 am and will be open after school until 4:00 pm. Breakfast can be bought over the counter (no pre-ordering required). Food and drinks for recess, munch and sip and lunch must be ordered a day in advance.

There are some changes that have been made to the ordering system. There is no voucher system and all orders have to be paid in cash. To make sure the ‘new’ system works effectively please follow the instructions provided below:

ORDERING SYSTEM

  • All orders are placed in the classroom/homeroom, NOT at the tuckshop.

  • Orders need to be placed a day in advance, so you order for the next day.

  • Orders are filled in on an ordering tag that is attached to a brown paper bag.

o In the Primary school, the classroom teacher or the teacher assistant will do this.

o In the Secondary school, the students fill in the ordering tag, which will be checked by the classroom tuckshop monitor.

o Parents can also fill in the tags at home or at school. Please ask the classroom/homeroom teacher for a tag.

  • Money for the order is placed in the paper bag.

  • Paper bags are placed in classroom tuckshop basket and taken to the tuckshop by the

tuckshop monitor during homeroom at 1:30 pm.

COLLECTING ORDERS
  • Tuckshop baskets are collected at 9:45 am and 12:45 pm by tuckshop monitors who deliver the orders from the tuckshop to the classroom for distribution by the class teacher (Primary) or tuckshop monitor (Secondary).

  • Change is put in the brown paper bag and placed in the basket with the orders for recess.

  • Baskets must be returned to the tuckshop after recess so the tuckshop staff can get ready for the lunch orders.
